I am sure most of you know we had to evacuate for Hurricane Ike. While the drive to my grandparents was a little overwhelming (seriously, you try riding in a small car with 3 kids), we made it safe and sound. The good news was that it only took us 5 hours this time rather than the 32 it took when we thought Rita was going to come visit. I can honestly say mom and dad learned a lot from our first evacuation...don't take Hwy 45!
We stayed gone about a week, but you will be glad to know that there was no damage to any of my blankets, toys, or bones. Everything was found right where I left it, with the exception of the things that Hobo took it upon himself to move.
While I am glad to be back home, I do have to admit that I miss chasing the geese with Hobo. We had a blast getting to do that daily.
There is really and truly no place like home!
